Facilities Planner

Little Creek, VA

The ASTA Group is accepting resumes to fill an upcoming Facilities Planner position in the Norfolk, VA region as the current Planner has announced his retirement.  This is a full-time long-term position.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of Navy Planning and Facilities Management experience.                              
  •  A Masters and/or Bachelors degree (Engineer, planner, or architect preferred)         
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Public Works Departments and how they deliver facility management and maintenance support services
  • Knowledge of Basic Fiscal Law requirements, funding types, processes and requirements.              
  • Ability to develop and estimate the cost of facility repair and construction projects
  • Ability to support subordinate command components with planning and facility issues
  • Ability to travel to support site and assist visits to customers components 
  • Interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration and coordination  
  • Project status tracking, reporting and briefing
  • Written communication skills to include email correspondence and drafting official documents
  • Prepare professional briefing products as if relates to facilities planning, estimating and tracking.
